Sugar and Wellness for Teens: TLS Rohtak Tackles Adolescent Diabetes Head-On
Ahead of CBSE's new Sugar Boards, TLS Rohtak ran its own session on making healthier choices.

With adolescent diabetes on the rise and CBSE preparing to roll out Sugar Boards in schools, TLS Rohtak didn't wait for a mandate to act. The school organised an informative session titled “Sugar and Wellness for Teens — Making Healthier Choices for a Happier You!”
The session was conducted by Dr. Ashish Dahiya, Director of Hotel and Tourism Management at MDU, who walked students through the hidden dangers of excessive sugar intake and its real impact on growing bodies and minds — not as a scare tactic, but as information students could actually use.
He emphasised how small, consistent changes in daily food choices compound into a genuinely healthier lifestyle, backing it up with real-life examples, facts, and practical tips: read food labels, cut back on sugary snacks, and reach for wholesome alternatives instead.
The session reflects something TLS Rohtak takes seriously beyond this one afternoon — supporting CBSE's vision of holistic wellbeing and preventive health education for every learner, not just the ones already paying attention to what's on their plate.
